SCHLEICH’s editor & printer software allows you to create and edit test plans for the GLP2-BASIC or GLP2-MODULAR directly on your PC. In this way, you can continue testing efficiently and undisturbed, while editing the test plan on a Windows® computer.

Description
Normally, test sequences are generated directly in the GLP2-ce or GLP2 Basic tester. This is done using the touch display or a keyboard connected to the tester. With the editor & printer software, it is also possible to edit test sequences directly on a PC. Generating test sequences on a PC has the advantage, that the operator is not affected during testing.

The PC software has the same user interface as the GLP2-ce or GLP2-ce Basic. The operation is therefore almost the same and therefore easy to understand and learn.

The editor & printer is used under two different operating conditions:

Offline operation| Data transfer via USB flash drive Using the editor & printer software, test plans are maintained, edited and stored on your PC. Once the settings are complete, the software transfers the test sequences to a USB flash drive. The next step is to connect the USB flash drive to the tester.

The tester downloads all test plans and automatically saves them in the internal database. Afterwards, the test plans are available as usual. If several identical testers are in use, one or more should be updated with the new test sequences to avoid having different test sequences on different testers for the same test task!

We recommend editing the test plans consistently on the PC and transferring the updated sequences directly to the tester. Alternatively, the test plans can still be edited in the tester. But to avoid differences with those in the software, the edited test sequences should be transferred to the PC immediately via USB flash drive. This avoids a different data inventory.

Online operation | Data exchange via network Under perfect conditions, the tester(s) are part of a computer network.

But a network only makes sense if the data are stored centrally. A central storage location for all test sets must be determined, which can be any PC in the network. Installation of special software on the PC is not necessary. The PC with the editor & printer installation is also in this network.

The data is stored on the central repository in the network. When a tester requests a test plan, it is loaded from the central storage location in the network.

This is perfect because all testers of the same type always use the same test plans. Network operation thus offers you the perfect condition for ISO 9001-compliant production. Of course, the test sequence can also be edited directly in the tester, which then automatically saves the changes to the central repository. Afterwards, the other testers and the editor&printer software can automatically access the revised test sequence.

Printing Editor&printer is also equipped with a convenient printing function. Because the testers can store not only test series but also test results on a central PC, editor&printer allows you to easily search the test results and print them in a clear report.

You can search for individual tests or even entire orders. Up to 10 freely configurable order inputs (e.g. serial number, type and more) are entered into the tester. The tester sends the inputs with the test results to the PC and stores them there. Editor & printer searches the corresponding test results according to your search criteria.

Editor & printer presents them clearly in a table. you can see the results in total or in detail, test step by test step.
