MD-5KVR — digital insulation resistance tester up to 5 kV

The MD-5KVR provides safe, reliable and accurate insulation measurements up to 5 TΩ, with 4 pre-selected test voltages: 500 V, 1 kV, 2.5 kV and 5 kV. Other test voltages from 50 V to 5 kV can be selected in steps of 25 V or 500 V.

The advanced microprocessor provides auto-ranging, PI and DAR calculation, leakage current measurement (1 nA – 3,000 µA), capacitance measurement, step voltage test, ramp function, programmable pass-fail test and a real-time clock with chronometer. Up to 16,000 readings are stored for trend analysis and predictive maintenance.

MegaLogg 3 and BlueLogg

The MD-5KVR is supplied with MegaLogg 3 software for graphical analysis and report generation. The BlueLogg Android app provides wireless control via Bluetooth.

When to choose the MD-5KVR, MD-10KVR or MD-15KVR?

The MD-5KVR is the most compact model (4.3 kg): up to 5 kV, 5 TΩ — ideal for low and medium voltage installations. For test voltages up to 10 kV and range up to 10 TΩ, the MD-10KVR is the next step. For maximum test voltage up to 15 kV and 15 TΩ — for power transformers and high-voltage cables — choose the MD-15KVR.
