DALI is short for Digital Addressable Light Interface. The interface is an independent standard for lighting control.
Our safety testers GLP2-Modular and GLP2-Basic can automatically transmit the various DALI commands per test step to the lighting.
As an example, a luminaire can be controlled to a desired light intensity using a DALI command. (e.g. 50%).
After the data transfer, a function test in the form of a current measurement will be performed, with this we check whether the DALI command was processed correctly in the luminaire.
The commands are executed via the tester’s RS232 interface. An externally connected DALI converter converts the commands to the DALI protocol.
Up to 10 DALI commands per test step can be executed in the software.
DALI commands can be entered very conveniently through our user-friendly interface of the GLP2 range.
By entering the address, command and associated parameter, it is child’s play to programme DALI commands without special operator know-how.
