Unlike the PRM4, the PRM5 has two further ranges of 20mOhm and 2mOhm with a maximum measurement current of 5 amps.
Moreover, measurement currents with 5A, 2A, 1A and 0.2A can be selected for measuring ranges 20mOhm, 200mOhm and 2Ohm to better adapt the PRM5 to the test object.
As with the PRM4, functions such as autorange, fixed range and connection via front and rear safety laboratory plugs can be used for 4-wire measurements.
The PRM5 can be fully remotely controlled via the serial RS232 interface or via Ethernet (TCP/IP) via the RJ45 bus. It is therefore ideal for long-term measurements and data logging (e.g. with Excel) and for automatic monitoring.
The resistance meter in the 19-inch enclosure has a standard height of 1U.
An additional option is the connection of a temperature sensor type PT100 in 4-wire measurement, with which the actual ambient temperature can be measured in the range 0… 40°C. The measured ambient temperature will be compensated with the measured resistance value.
