Our powerhouse for automatic testing of wires, cables and wiring harnesses.
Automeg ® offers powerful, flexible, easy-to-use and industry-compliant testing capabilities for wire and cable harnesses.
Available in a wide range of specifications and sizes to suit your needs.
Automeg ® offers powerful, flexible, easy-to-use and compliant systems.
The systems ensure that wiring and components are 100% compliant and undamaged. And our cable testers record every measurement
Our wide range of different models means there is a suitable system for almost any application, whatever your testing environment.
Automeg wordt volgens specificatie opgebouwd uit een reeks standaardmodules die samen te stellen zijn naar wens
Our range of Automeg cable testers is divided into the following groups:
Automeg T series: This model is called T for two wires because our T series applies a continuous resistance of 2 wires
for measurement. If the test requirements require a high number of test points and you only need a continuous resistance measurement
measurement down to 0.1Ω, then the T series is the entry level, lowest cost with automatic test option.
Automeg F series: The F series is our dedicated 4-wire Kelvin test solution. As with the T series, F stands for four-wire.
If the desire is for continuity and resistance measurements to be milliohm accurate, the special 4-wire system guarantees you the best possible accuracy.
This series is therefore ideal for testing critical cables, components, shield connections and low resistance joints.
Automeg D-serie The D series is our most popular model for standard electrical harness testing. The cable tester offers resistance measurement as well as 2-wire and 4-wire measurement and the ability to mix these modes in one test programme. The D series models can handle a mix of resistance measurements up to
2mΩ. The result is a highly flexible system that allows fast automatic testing of complex assemblies.
Automeg E series: The E series is our entry-level multibus function test solution. If it has active components to be tested
or if you might need to test active assemblies for functionality in the future, the E series offers both measurement and function testing capabilities.
Any E-series relay card can be used as a measurement card or a functional stimulus switch card.
The minimum limitation with the E-series is that the card can be used for either
measurement or stimulus switching during a subtest, so you need to plan your test interface to allow a full functional test possible. The E-series is the ideal solution if the density of active components is low or if your cable designs are stable.
Automeg M series: The M series offers the highest degree of flexibility.
These systems can be used in both 2-wire and 4-wire kelvin measurements, and they can also provide functional stimuli from any test at any time.
As with the E series, the card can be used for measurement or stimulus switching during a subtest.
The M series simplifies your interface design as each interface channel can be used for both measurement and stimulation.
So no complex Y-cable interface is needed. For example, when testing a contactor, the system measures the
resistance of a coil and then stimulates the coil using the same test points and the same interface cable. It then simultaneously measures the change in contact resistance.
If the density of active components is high, or your products are flexible, the M series is the ideal system.
Continuity test and resistance
Measurement in 2 & 4 wire kelvin method
Test for incorrect wiring, faulty wiring, loose connections, wrong wire thickness, faulty/incorrect components, bad connections and crimps.
Short circuit and resistance
Measurement in 2 & 4 wire Kelvin method
Check for incorrect wiring, crossed wires, faulty or incorrect components, unwanted connections/conductors.
HV DC insulation resistance test
Measurements on damaged or defective insulation by measuring specific insulation resistance value of each conductor or group of conductors.
HV DC Hi-pot and dielectric measurement
Hipot tests for damaged or defective insulation by measuring each conductor or group of conductors using high-voltage DC.
HV AC Hi-pot & dielectric measurement
Test for damaged or defective insulation by measuring each conductor or group of conductors using high-voltage AC.
Capacity measurement
Test the correct capacitance of shielded cable, coaxial cable, twisted pairs and components/capacitors. The capacitance
module also provides a distance to fault indication for open and short circuits.
Testing of components
Test proper location and characteristics of circuit, components – diodes, resistors, zener diodes, transformers,
coils, fuses, transistors, sensors, etc.
Active components and function test
Test the correct function by automatically stimulating the active
component and measuring/detecting the function of that component.
component – relays, switches, motors, actuators, solenoids,
sensors, etc. This is achieved by adding MK EEM Stimulus modules and software-controlled power supply units to
required stimuli and measurements take place simultaneously.
Time-based function testing
Function of circuit and circuit components testing where time and measurement trace
is especially important with the oscilloscope module:
Slip Ring Testing: Testing for resistance and and noise during rotation and a
resistance trace.
SSPC (Solid State Contactors): Measuring function time (μs), inrush current, idle
current and provide a trace record
