T9731 Flow tester according to EN 14683
The T9731 is specially designed for measuring the suitable flow in full compliance with standard EN 14683 for testing surgical masks.
The T9731 is specially designed for measuring the suitable flow in full compliance with standard EN 14683 for testing surgical masks.
As shown in diagram C.1 on page 12 of standard EN14683 , the instrument is equipped with two Mass-flow type air flow meters with scales 0.0…20.0 nLitres/minute (2.12 of diagram – section C.2.1) servo-driven valve controlled from the software (10 of diagram – section C.2.4), and a dual pressure gauge/differential pressure measurement (M1 and M2) as expressly indicated in section C.2.2 .
To meet both ISO accreditation standards and the expectations of the reference standard, pressure measurements in “Differential” mode (or pressure drop) are made in Pa or Pa/cm2 if the sample area in the TST menu is set to an area other than 1.00 cm2.
The connecting “short form” supplied with the manuals allows connection to an external vacuum pump (C.2.3), not supplied.
A special parameter “deviation flow sensor” allows continuous comparison of the two flow measurement sensors (can be excluded by setting the threshold to 0%)
to comply with the validation of C.2.5.5 in Run-Time mode.
In addition to what is required in the legislation, the instruments must be capable of both differential
pressure (pressure drop (nozzle head) and relative pressure (nozzle head), both for performing tests indiscriminately at a controlled flow rate and at a constant pressure.
Complete the features all options already present in the T9000 range such as ISO, LAN traceability, Wifi, BLE , communication ports, AUX signals as indicated in more detail in the user manual.
The T9731- EN 14683 is capable of fully automatic execution of all procedures required by regulations in the following way:
– “Breathability” tests, setting the test in “PRESSURE DROP” mode according to procedure C.4;
– “Instrument validation tests” (C.2.5.5), part 1 of Mass Flow Relevance
– “Equipment validation tests” (C.2.5.5) part 2 of Mass-Flow Zero Flow Sealing
