Differential standard leak tester T8060
ForTest T8060 is the benchmark instrument for differential pressure decay leak testing, designed to ensure maximum precision and reliability in industrial contexts, achieving a resolution of 0.1 Pa.
Differential leak test
A leak test based on differential decay measures the pressure difference between the sealed system (DUT) and a reference object. The reference object is typically a similar product with correct leak-tightness or, where applicable, a product with a known leak.
A key advantage of a differential-decay leak test is that it is less dependent on the temperature and composition of the air in the sealed system than an absolute-decay leak test.
This is because the pressure difference is measured between the system and the reference object, not within the system itself.
Innovative operation
There is a new MMI called “ForTest MMI”. This controller has a large 6.2-inch colour display and an innovative capacitive panel in tempered glass. This makes the human-machine interaction superior in quality. The integrated numeric keypad in the menu allows parameters to be programmed faster. The large display also makes it easier to see the test cycle. The main screen of the video controller offers various quick functions, such as changing test programs, the “smart” test archive menu and password lock/unlock.
Interfacing
The new T8060 equipment has various port types — USB slave, RS232, RS485, CAN bus and TTY — for limitless connectivity. There is also the option to add an Ethernet port and a 26-pole connector with 4 inputs and 8 outputs. This connector is fully programmable and can be used to connect to external valves, safety barriers, switches and similar devices. The front panel of the equipment has a master USB port for connecting a USB key to save tests, back up/restore parameters and upgrade the instrument firmware. It is also possible to connect thermal printers, barcode/data-matrix readers and markers automatically via an internal menu.
Better leak tests
Differential technology naturally enables a measurement sensitivity that is even better than absolute decay, guaranteeing a decay resolution of 0.1 Pa up to 6 bar testing.
The implementation of new pressure sensors and the dual optical Faraday-isolated cage further improves instrument performance.
Optimised pneumatic section
The pneumatic section of our product has been optimised by installing latest-generation solenoid valves. As a result, fill speed has increased by 50% compared to the previous model, while product reliability remains unchanged. In addition, our leak testers do not require expensive maintenance.

Innovative design
Designing the equipment may seem simple, but it actually requires a thorough study to make use and understanding as easy as possible. The front panel of the T8060 is made of a single sheet of tempered glass and aluminium, making it very easy to clean and suitable for use in the laboratory and on the production line. The extensive internal menu is easy to understand and the graphical interface displays only the important information.
