Simple and clean leak detection
The T8999 leak tester is a device designed to meet the increasing need for easy and clean identification of the position of the leak on a piece under test, eliminating methods such as immersion in a water tank or the use of leak detection sprays, which are detrimental to pieces that may rust or pieces that are difficult to accurately clean.
The probe, with a 30° arm, allows access to the most critical leakage points, signalling their position and size, assisting the operator with an indicator LED and warning buzzer.
The hydrogen mixture used is 5% and 95% nitrogen, so not explosive or dangerous to the working environment or operators.
Two test methods in one leak tester
The T8999 has a dual method of use, integrating both the classical absolute decay leak test method and that of leak identification into the leak tester.
With the test parameters, the leak identification cycle can be started automatically in case of a rejected piece, making the process semi-automatic.
The sensitivity of the leak detection probe is 1 cc/h, independent of the pressure and volume to be tested.
