Relay Matrix Module: precision, flexibility and safety in test and measurement setups

A Relay Matrix Module is a switching system that makes multiple test points controllable via a matrix of relays. With this matrix you can switch each test connection individually, enabling a vast range of measurement combinations without physically reconfiguring your test setup.

In practice, this means you can still test two points against each other as standard, but also test multiple points simultaneously or in varying combinations — all controlled via software or a measurement program.

The Relay Matrix Module is available with 12 or 24 test points in two-wire technology, or 3, 6 or 12 test points in four-wire technology, making the system suitable for both standard and high-precision measurements.

The integrated discharge ensures that test points are safely discharged after every measurement, increasing operator safety and protecting the test object. Thanks to the flexible and scalable matrix architecture, multiple modules can be cascaded as needed, so the system easily grows with the application.

Communication takes place via CAN bus or a digital interface, which allows easy integration into automated test environments. In addition, the module tracks the number of switching cycles of the relays, providing valuable information for preventive maintenance and long-term reliability.

The relay matrix is available in various enclosure variants, including 19″ rack mount, desktop and cabinet installation, so it fits seamlessly into a wide range of test setups.
