What about safety in test systems?

Suppliers and manufacturers of (high-voltage) test and measurement equipment state in their data sheet and/or manual that the system meets the specified requirements. The EN50191.

But is that also the case when you unpack the tester, put it down and start using it? The answer is no.

A company commissioning the equipment is itself responsible for commissioning the test system so that it complies with (local) directives and applicable standards.

Need more insight on the regulations? Or looking for more insight on the directive? We provide specific tester training in conjunction with the directive to give a better idea of the requirements necessary to use test equipment safely.
