BLTR bond and loop tester
BLRT is a fully automatic bond, loop and joint resistance tester with built-in operator instructions.
It speeds up the testing process by diagnosing faults quickly, and automatically uploads results to production systems once all checks have passed. Recommended for testing bonds, loops and joints during the manufacture of aircraft and aircraft sub-assemblies where specifications require a measurement frequency of 200Hz.

A lightweight, robust LRT tool with additional smart capabilities, BLRT is suitable for the following applications:
- Bond resistance between structural elements
- Loop resistance and integrity of cable shields and bonding straps
- Joint resistance diagnostics
- Testing during manufacture and as part of preventative maintenance checks
- Measuring resistance on aircraft and large structures such as wind turbines or infrastructure at risk from lightning strike.
The BLRT uses 4-wire (Kelvin) resistance measurements to ensure micro-Ohm accuracy, for results you can trust.
Measuring at 200Hz frequency means the BLRT is suitable for use on Boeing and Embraer aircraft.
It is an approved alternative to the BAE LRT 906-10246-3 for used on unfueled aircraft.
The BLRT is ideal for use during prescribed maintenance testing by MROs as well as during manufacture.
BLRT can be loaded with on-screen operator instructions to make taking measurements as simple as possible. Weighing just 7kg (15.5lbs), it’s light enough to be handled by a single operator. To enable a faster testing process, it also has active couplers and bond probes, so there is no need to touch the screen.
It guarantees traceability, through paperless process log and uploading of test results; and the removable “hot-swap” batteries also means no downtime due to loss of power.

The bond test resistance range is 0.1mΩ to 2Ω; loop test resistance range from 0.5mΩ to 4000mΩ; and joint test resistance range is from 0.05mΩ to 4000mΩ.
The soft-start current source prevents arcing, and the system can also be operated in both automatic and manual modes.
