Safety first - Test cage

SCHLEICH test cages are a rock-solid, durable protection device. Ergonomics, ease of operation, reliability based on very solid industrial quality are key.

The test cage made of shatterproof, transparent plastic securely shields the test object from touch. Testing is only possible with the test hood closed.
The condition of the test hood is continuously monitored by a safety-approved, double-circuit safety limit switch in combination with a safety evaluation module. This corresponds to the specifications for mandatory protection against accidental contact.

Closing the test cap starts the test cycle. Opening during the test results in immediate interruption of the test. The test voltage is safely switched off and the test object is discharged.

An optional safety or process lock can be added to prevent opening during the test. This keeps the test cap closed:

Until the test object is fully discharged Until the end of mechanical movement or rotation. In the event of a negative test result (NIO.)

Full isolation of the test cage prevents voltage transfer to the outside. Operating personnel are optimally protected.

To protect sensitive test objects from electrostatic build-up and discharge, we also supply test cages in ESD design.
